A. ANALYZING THE CLAIM- The case claim: The price of college tuition needs to be lowered. This claim is absolute based off of her character, dialogue and reasons. She states IF students join a PAC they can take a stance on changing the price of college tuition.
B. ANALYZE THE REASON AND EVIDENCE- 1. She discusses an opportunity to change what she is claiming. 2. The evidence within this reason is her telling students to join a PAC. She uses an example of students coming together and achieving a task: building a 120 foot wall of debt out of foam blocks bearing signatures of 20,000 students along with the debt burden of each. 3. It is a good piece of evidence because it gives a factual visual of her claim, it is also relevant to her claim considering all of the students who also support her claim.
C. 1. From the reading I assume that she assumes that college is very important and in order to be successful you need to have a degree.
2. I challenge her assumption because there are several options and careers that do not require degrees and yet are still successful and debt free.
D. one rebuttal would be her saying that IF students dont join a PAC college cost would not be lowered.
